Silicone offers excellent thermal stability, chemical stability and the wide temperature range over which they retain resiliency. Silicones come in a variety of hardness (Shore A). This thin silicone is reinforced with 1-ply of thin fiberglass. The fiberglass offers dimensional stability to prevent gasket creep.
