Viton®O-rings have a high temperature and chemical resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, mineral oils and greases, solvents, hydraulic fluids, water and steam. They have low compression set characteristics. Viton performs excellently with Air, ATF-Type A, Butane, Engine Oil, EP Lubes, Gasoline (Lead and No Lead), Grease, MIL-G 10924, MIL-L 5606, MIL-L 6082-A, SAE-90, SAE-30, Methyl Chloride, Oxygen (Cold), Ozone, Perchlorethylene, Petroleum BasedHydraulic Oil, Phosphate Ester, Pydraul, Silicone Oil, Trichlorethylene, Turpentine, Water (Freshor Salt), Wine. Viton performs well with Cellulube, Freon 12, Fuel Oil, MIL-L 2105-B, MIL-L 7808-E, Kerosene, Toluene. Viton performs poorly with Acetic Acid, Ammonia Gas, Brake Fluid, Ethanol, Ketones (MEK), Methanol, Skydrol.
